Processing of oxihumolite (Leonardite) has a very long tradition in Northern Bohemia. The beginning of its industrial processing can be placed among first productions of this kind in the world. In the past, the North Bohemian oxihumolites were used 
for improvements of soil properties due to high content of their organic compounds.
Since 1915 the oxihumolite was used as an essential raw material for production of colours and furniture mordants. The production technology has been continuously adapting to growing demands of customers to evaluate excellent properties of this raw material.
The long tradition of oxihumolite processing places our production to the oldest world's productions. This also covers a scope of experiences which are connected with the production and use of humic substances. In cooperation with top domestic research institutes we have been learning more and more about properties and nature of humic substances so that we get suggestions for the best upvalue of this unique raw material. |
